Outcast

In this world
I am an outcast
Nothing in common
No bonds will last

I reject the things
That most hold dear
And I embrace other things
That they fear

An outcast by choice
An outcast by sight
But I dream of more
When I sleep at night

I seek not what is false
Finding value in what is true
While others depend on lies
To help them make it through

I believe if you just look
You can always find a way
Others lack the vision
They let problems stay

This makes me an outcast
The choices that I make
But I stay true to myself
I can't live life a fake
