Dancing
The lights went low
As the song began
They danced so slowly
The woman and the man
She laid her head on his chest
As they swayed to the song
He could feel her warm breath
As they glided along
She felt so safe in his arms
As tender and kind
No worry of harms
She left her cares behind
She looked up at his eyes
They sparkled delight
They were blue as ice
In the darkness, they shone bright
As their dance came to an end
She suddenly felt weak
Her heart began to mend
As a tear rolled down her cheek.
Their eyes met once more
A sensation so intense
She melted in his arms
Giving up her last defense
He pulled her close again
She responded to his slightest touch
He felt like fire on her skin
The sensation became too much
He held her limply in his arms
Concern on his face
He carried her to the table in alarm
Sitting her gently in her place
He gently shook her to wake
Her eyes fluttered open wide
And there could be no mistake
The love there could not hide
